John Sabourin’s June 25, 2010, Testimonial:
I’ve caught and released many Cass Lake muskies, so it takes a lot to impress me.
In June 2009, people at Cass Lake Lodge said that Loren Gruber knew his stuff. So I asked him to take me muskie fishing. He took me to places that I didn’t know held muskies.
Loren is the best muskie fisherman on Cass Lake.
And Loren introduced me to Jensen Musky Clatterbaits. We cast two areas thoroughly with the Cass Lake Cisco. He and I had a follow.
We moved on to a third area. Loren said that we were going to troll it. I groaned. “I hate trolling.” But he insisted. We set up, and I threw my lure out. Seconds later, I landed a nice muskie.
The next morning, I cast our first location. A 60-incher took my Cass Lake Cisco, but broke off.
This year, I cast the new Cass Lake Cisco. On the fifth cast, a muskie chomped it and let go. Two more casts. I boated it on the seventh!
A year ago, I wouldn’t troll for muskies. Now I do. I trolled the second area that Loren and I cast last year. Exploding out of thirty feet of water, a huge muskie slammed my Cass Lake Cisco!
I’m impressed with Jensen Musky Clatterbaits. For three reasons.
First, I can either cast or troll them.
Second, I like the improved design that adds strength to battle big muskies.
Third, I like the variety of colors suits different light and water conditions. Light patterns for bright days and clear water. Dark patterns for overcast skies, night fishing, and dark water.
Plus, the colors match muskie forage. Cisco. Walleye. Perch. Rock Bass. Northern Pike.
If Loren had the entire collection of Jensen’s Musky Clatterbaits with him this year, I would have bought each one of them. —John Sabourin 6/25/10

Elite Series Mammoth Clatterbait
|
This clatterbait has a very wide rabbit strip tail. It is 1 inch wide, thats double the width I make my other clatterbaits. It presents double the profile of other clatterbaits. Rabbit hide is much tougher than any other material being used on this style of wobble bait, or more specifically chatterbait. All the other producers of muskie chatterbaits use plastic skirts and trailers. I guarantee mine will catch up to ten times as many Muskies or Pike than my competitors. The main hook is a 7/0 Mustad nickle hook, and the trailer is the same hook. The head is powder painted black and baked for 1-1/2 hrs.I have put a one of a kind custom paint job on the blade consisting of: black, grey and white powder paint, and silver glitter. Approximate length is 11 inch's. AVAILABLE IN 1 OZ. & 1-1/2 oz. Price: $15.99

Walleye Clatterbait

This is a walleye pattern. I have had more than one musky grab a walleye as I tried to reel it in. It measures approx. 10 inchs. The hook is a 6/0 HEAVY wire nickle Mustad Ultrapoint. As you can see, the body is rabbit(3 layers, white, dark brown, and gold variant.)with bronze flashabou, and holographic gold flashabou. Large plastics for muskies have become very popular in recent years, but my clatterbaits have a more lifelike action and are more durable than plastics. And hair has been catching fish for decades longer than plastics.Musky Professor Loren Gruber has caught 51% of his muskies over the last two years on clatterbaits. The other 49% were taken on all other baits. Thats a pretty good record for the clatterbait. Available in: 1oz.& 1-1/2oz.
