This jig is tied on a sparkie head as are all of my Clatterbaits.The hook is a Owner, Nickel 5/0 heavy wire. The body is white bucktail. The long tail is pure white rabbit with a red highlight and red krystal flash.The head is powder-painted white with pearl glitter. And Then I bake it for a full hour, for a very hard finish.I have also powder-coated the shank of the hook to prevent any rust developement. This jig is unique in that: I am the only one making these with hair and, this is the only place you can purchase it. Large plastics for muskies have become very popular in recent years, my rabbit strip muskie jigs are much more lifelike and durable than plastics. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy using your musky clatterbaits. I have owned one from just about every other manufacturer, and none of them work nearly so well as yours. I just received a couple as a gift from J-Mac, and while I would have anticipated them to be good lures, they were a disappointment. Unless you used a dead slow retrieve, they basically waked the surface. At such a slow speed, you couldn't get the good thumping action you want from a lure like this.
Come Spring I will have to order another one or two.
